Early in Hals wilderness flying, he found no books on bush flying techiniques.  So he began making notes.  Friend and owner of Denali Flying Service (later Denali Wilderness Air),  Master Guide and bush pilot Lynn Castle strongly supported his efforts.  Later Lynn lost his life in a mountain bush flying accident.  This book is dedicated to Lynn's memory.
